Farmers Market in Rancho Cucamonga | Lisa DiNoto Group
Lisa DiNoto Group
As the Lisa DiNoto Group continues on their journey to
achieving physical and mental wellness this summer, they have discovered the benefits
of eating clean, and shopping at local Farmers Markets. They have a few Rancho
Cucamonga hot spots for shopping local, and stocking up on clean foods.
There are countless benefits for shopping at local Farmers
Market, including better tasting food, preserving the environment and staying
connected to the local Rancho Cucamonga community. While shopping at a Farmers
Market, on can truly enjoy the seasonal variety of food, and connect with the
natural cycles of the seasons. One will only find fruits and vegetables that are currently in season, so you can always
count on fresh and delicious produce.
Food at these markets are typically better for your overall health as
more often than not they are grown organically, and tend to be grown without
the use of pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics. This produced is usually minimally
processed, and picked right before the actual market. This ensures the produced
can grow to its full potential, and doesn’t need to be gassed to stimulate ripening.
Picked fresh and delivered straight to
consumers!
Food in the United States typically has to travel far
distances before it reaches your local grocery store. This requires a ton of
work and the use of natural resources. Conventional farming of produce in
massive quantities and the delivery process, contributes to the ever growing problem
of pollution, trash and water waste. Local farmers tend to grow in much smaller
quantities, and have minimal drive time to the farmers market. This strategy
tends to be less impactful on the environment, and overall produces a fresher,
healthier product.
Shopping at farmers market can be more of a pleasure than a
grocery store chore. Not only will fresh, colorful, unique produce be found,
but often local merchants will be around selling their gems and promoting their
local business. It’s a great outdoor activity that the entire family can enjoy,
all while learning about clean eating, and enhancing local economies.
The Lisa DiNoto Group frequents two of the Rancho Cucamonga
farmers market and is always on the hunt for more!
